National Museum of Australia

m4.jpgThe museum presents Australian history and culture through a blending of exhibits, technology and hands-on activities. The building is deliberately anti-monumental with a seamless integration between architecture and landscape. Inside there are exhibition galleries, restaurants, theatres and a resource centre. The permanent exhibitions deal with the themes Land, Nation and People, and the Gallery of the First Australians conveys the country’s indigenous heritage. The temporary exhibition gallery hosts travelling blockbuster exhibitions. Admission: Free to permanent collection.
